Top Company For Corporate Social Responsibility in Utah Valley, 2001

Early in 2001, Laurie J. Wilson, Ph.D. and Michael D. McNiven conducted a study called "Corporate Social Responsibility: Good Business or True Citizenship in Strategic Cooperative Communities." The study was undertaken for the International Communications Association in Washington, D.C.

The authors identified local leaders in human services, the arts and education, government (elected and appointed) and other community agencies. They asked these community leaders to rank the top ten companies in their community in each of three behaviors: corporate social responsibility, corporate philanthropy and employee relations. Based on these criteria, Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. was ranked as the top company for corporate social responsibility in Utah Valley.
